Start Feeling Better With Acupuncture

Feel your energy flowing the right way for better health & wellness

Our acupuncturist is the wonderful Yan Li. She has 15 years of experience and will be sure to put you at ease during your treatment.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture uses fine needles to stimulate certain energy points on the body, altering the flow of energy called qi, which then flows down channels known as meridians.

This form of healing originates from ancient China, and has been used to treat numerous different illnesses and health conditions for over 2500 years.

What happens during an acupuncture session?

Yan Li will ask you to describe your symptoms and health problems, then she will devise an acupuncture treatment plan to help you.

Meridian lines travel all across the body, so needles won’t necessarily be inserted into the area where you feel pain. The most commonly used acupoints are on your arms, hands, legs and feet.

At the end of a session, Yan Li will also give guidance on how to enhance the effects of the treatment you have received.

What is acupuncture used for?

Headaches and migraines
Infertility
Low energy or fatigue
Pain (neck, chest, back etc)
Nausea
Depression
Anxiety
Insomnia
Arthritis
Asthma

Does acupuncture hurt?

The sensations at the needling site range from a relaxing heaviness or dull aching, to an electric tingling feeling. You’ll feel it working, but it shouldn’t hurt. If at any time it does feel painful, you should let Yan Li know so she can adjust her technique.

It’s not unusual to fear pain from the acupuncture needles. But in reality, the needles are incredibly fine and many people are surprised to find it doesn’t feel “sharp” or painful like you might expect.
